Requires System User with a System-level Role and Permissions

Users in a role with permissions can add one or more Excluded Content Blocks to the Project or to an Organization template in order to have blocks of content removed from the content index automatically at import or reprocessing. You can also edit an Excluded Content Block or create a duplicate of an Excluded Content Block. New or changed Excluded Content Blocks affect new imports and reprocessing.

Excluded Content Block Options

To add, edit, or duplicate an Excluded Content Block, complete the following information:

  • DescriptionClosed Provides a helpful description of an item. A description can have up to 255 characters. – Provide an optional description about the purpose of this Excluded Content Block.
  • Content (required) – Specify the Excluded Content Block that will be removed from the content index at import or reprocessing if the list is applied as a Project Setting or the template is in effect in the Project. You can use the text box to supply an Excluded Content Block with a maximum length of 500 characters. The Excluded Content Block you supply is treated as a regular expression.
  • Click OK to apply the Excluded Content Block information, or Cancel to cancel the operation. As part of validation, the Excluded Content Block you supplied is checked to ensure that it does not exceed a size limit of 4096 characters upon regular expression translation. If so, then you will see the error message "Excluded Content expression is longer than 4096 characters" when you click OK. In this case, you will have to modify the Excluded Content Block so that its translated expression does not exceed this limit.
