Requires Audit Access Permissions

A user with the appropriate permissions can view the eDiscovery Project Audit Log from the Project Dashboard.

Viewing the eDiscovery Audit Log helps monitor all user activity within a Project. You can view the Audit Log 100 entries at a time.

The Audit Log is initially sorted by the Date column (a timestamp), with the latest operations at the top of the paged list. The following table describes the fields in the Audit Log. These columns also appear in the downloaded version.

Field Visible by default? Description
Username Yes The name of the user who performed the operation.
Date Yes The date and time (full timestamp) for the operation in the format yyyy-MM-dd HH:mm:ss (for example, 2021-02-18 16:41:55). This is the default sort column in descending order (last event first).
Status Yes The status of the event (Success or Failure)

SRI Handle No (optional column) The System Request Identifier (SRI) handle for the operation, which can aid in troubleshooting.

The following two fields are optional in the UI but are always included in the downloaded version. To view them in the UI, right-click in a column name and select the columns using the checkboxes. These two fields aid in potential troubleshooting and information gathering of a given operation:

  • Workbasket Handle
  • SRI Handle

Note: The Audit Log for a Project will be archived as long as a System Storage Depot has been configured by a System User with the appropriate permissions (for example, in a System Administrator role). A System User with the System Administrator role has permissions to download the Audit Log for a Project that has been deleted, which requires that a System Storage Depot be configured before a Project deletion can be approved and proceed.
