Produce a Duplicates Volume for an Export Stream

Exports > eDiscovery Exports > selected Export Stream > right-click > Export Duplicates Volume

Requires Exports - Add/Edit Permissions

Users in a role that has permissions (for example, as an Organization Administrator) can produce a duplicates volume for an eDiscovery Export Stream.

If an eDiscovery Export Stream has settings that include Remove Duplicates from Export and Load File, you can use this option to generate a Duplicates Export Volume that either produces the Duplicate Files at the Export Data Area (along with a Load File), or produces only a Load File that contains references to the previously exported Duplicate Source Files.

Export Duplicates Volume Options

You select one of the following options:

  • Produce Duplicate Files Exports all duplicates files and an accompanying Load File at the Export Data Area.
  • Produce a Load File that references Duplicate Source Files – Exports only a Load File that points to the original duplicate source files (the Duplicate_Source_DocID) in the TextLink, PDFLink, and NativeLink fields.

In 5.0.0.0, a Duplicates volume looks like any other volume for the Export Stream in the Navigation Tree. A Duplicates Volume can be identified in the Navigation Tree by an icon under the Export Stream.

When you have made your option selection, click the appropriate button:

  • Export — Exports the Duplicates Volume. You can track the Creating Duplicates Volume task in the Work Basket and confirm the addition of the volume under the Export Stream.
  • Cancel — Cancels the operation.
