Requires Organization - Container Key Files - View, Add/Edit, and Delete Permissions

Users in a role with the appropriate permissions can add and manage two types of Container Key Files:

  • Lotus Notes ID files (.id) — These ID files enable processing of password-protected Lotus Notes NSF files or the encrypted items from unprotected NSF files.
  • Microsoft BitLocker Key files (.txt) — These Key files (text files with a 48-digit key) enable processing of Microsoft BitLocker-encrypted disk partitions.

User with permissions can view and/or manage these Container Key files as follows:

  • View a list of Container Key files.
  • Select a Container Key file.
  • Add a Container Key file.
  • Edit a Container Key file.
  • Delete a Container Key file that is no longer needed.

How to Manage Container Key Files provides a summary of the procedures for handling Lotus Notes ID files and BitLocker Key files.

Providing the Container Key files prior to import helps avoid reprocessing scenarios.

To check for Protected, Encrypted, or Partitions Encrypted entries after import, go to the Warning and Errors section of the Data Set Scan Report.
