Requires System-level Delete Pending Projects - View permissions to view information, Add/Edit permissions to manage the Delete Pending Projects

System Users in a role with the appropriate System-level permissions can view and approve or deny the deletion of Projects in a Delete Pending state. By default, a System Administrator and System Manager have permissions to view the list of Projects in a Delete Pending state. The ability to view the Delete Pending Projects information also requires System Storage Depot - View permission. By default, only a System Administrator can use the options to approve or deny a request to delete a Project in the PENDING state. For information about System-level permissions, see View and Manage System Role-Based Permissions.

From the Delete Pending Projects screen, System Users with the appropriate permissions can view a list of all the Projects, across Organizations, that have been requested for deletion and then decide whether to approve or decline the deletion of a selected Project.

Note: Approval of Project deletion requires availability of an established System Storage Depot. Having the System Storage Depot ensures automatic archiving of a Project's Audit Log upon deletion of the Project, and the Audit Log can then be downloaded from the Deleted Projects screen after the Project has been deleted. If a System Storage Depot has not been established, a System User with a System-level role and the appropriate permissions can establish one by selecting available System Storage for the Depot from the System Settings > System Storage Depot.

Summary List Columns

The columns in the summary display information about the various Organizations and Projects. For an unfiltered or filtered list, sorting ascending is available for columns such as Project Name and Date Created.

  • Project Name– The name of a Project. Projects are sorted in alphabetical order by default (sort ascending).
  • Project Description– A helpful description of the Project, if one has been configured.
  • Organization– The Organization that contains the Project. You can sort (ascending) by Organization. You can optionally sort by this column.
  • Request Status – The request status of the Project, which will be PENDING.
  • Requested By — Displays the name of the User who requested the deletion of the Project.
  • Request Date (default sort column) – The date on which the request for deletion of the Project was made, in the format YYYY-MM-DD HH:mm:ss (for example, 2022-03-21 17:34:33). The list is initially sorted by this column in descending order.

Note: To control the list of displayed columns, right-click any column title to display the pop-up menu with checkboxes for the columns. The current sort column will have a down arrow after the column name to indicate the sort descending order.

Options

A System User with the appropriate permissions can either approve or decline the deletion of a selected Project using one of the following options:

  • Approve Project Deletion – As long as the System Storage Depot has been established on the system, enables a System User with appropriate permissions to permanently delete a selected Project from an Organization. Approving deletion of a Project removes the Project from the list immediately and starts the Project deletion process. Note that this option will be grayed out and unavailable if a System Storage Depot has not been established.
  • Decline Project Deletion – Denies the deletion of a selected Project from an Organization. Declining the deletion of a Project removes the Project from the Delete Pending Projects list and returns the Project to an available state so that it can be accessed again. The Project may appear with a state of Unknown until it is fully activated.

Page Controls

For multi-page lists, you can select a page to display. The Page Control bar on the screen (the bottom of any list) shows a range and enables you to enter the page number in the box or use the appropriate arrows to navigate. Note that you must hit the Enter key after typing a page number in the box for the change to take effect. Each page displays 100 documents.

The following sample paging area only has one page of Projects. The navigation arrows are available when you have multi-page lists.

To the far right of the Page Controls is the count for the total Projects (for example, 1-90 / 90).
