Generate and Use the Project Billing Report

Dashboard > Generate Billing Report

Requires Audit Access Permissions

From the Dashboard item in the Navigation Tree, you can click Billing Report to generate a detailed Billing Report for the Project. Once this report is generated, you can download it (using the Work Basket Download option for the associated task).

This report is not configurable (for example, by File Type). This makes it different from the reports that can be configured at the Project, Organization, and System level using the Billing Reports settings. (See Project Billing Reports for more information.) If you rely on the configurable Billing Reports, you can still use the Dashboard's generated Project Billing Report to view Summary and Detail Information for the different types of Exports.

This report is a snapshot of the imports and the different types of Exports for the Project. It contains the total amount of data imported and exported at the time you generated the report.

Note: The Project Billing report contains details for each non-deleted Data Set and each non-deleted Export (eDiscovery Export). Deleted Data Sets and deleted Exports are not included in this report.

Depending on the size of the Project and how much data you have imported and exported, this report may take time to generate.

The Download file is an XSLX file with three tabs:

  • Summary
  • Import Details
  • Export Details

Note: If you continuously add data or export data and want to run the report to get updated information, you may want to provide a unique name each time you download the report, to maintain different versions.

Summary Tab Information

The Summary tab of the report provides an overall view of the imports and exports performed in the Project.

The top of the Summary tab provides the following Project-specific information:

The Summary tab has the following main sections:

  • Import Summary
  • Export Summary

  • Doc Class – An entry appears in the Doc Class column for each document class exported in the Project.
  • Native Count –  Per Doc Class, the total number of native files exported.
  • Native Size– Per Doc Class, the total size (in bytes) of native files exported.

Import Details

The Import Details tab of the report contains information about each Data Set imported in the Project.

The Export Details tab of the report contains information about each Volume of each eDiscovery Export Stream in the Project:
