The Comparisons summary provides information about all Comparisons in the Project.

Assuming you have the correct permissions, you can create a new Comparison from the summary, or perform operations for a configured Comparison.

Summary Information for Comparisons

This summary lists the Comparisons and provides the following:

  • Comparison Name – The name assigned to a Folder. See New Comparison for the naming rules. You can click a given Comparison name (shown in blue to indicate it is a hyperlink) to open that Comparison view. You can also double-click in the row to open that Comparison view.
  • Document Set A — The Document A Folder or Search Result you selected for the Comparison. For some views, such as a Folder or Tag view or Custodian view, you will see the appropriate icon and color before the name. For a Search, the search icon is shown, along with the query and target.
  • Document Set B — The Document B Folder or Search Result you selected for the Comparison. For some views, such as a Folder or Tag view or Custodian view, you will see the appropriate icon and color before the name. For a Search, the search icon is shown, along with the query and target.

New Comparison and Selected Comparison Options

To add a new Comparison, use the New Comparison option. You can select this option from the summary or by right-clicking on Comparisons in the tree. When you create a Comparison, a view is added to the Project under Analytics > Comparisons, and you are redirected to the new Comparison so that you can compare the content of the Document Sets further, such as how much the Documents Set have in common, or are different.

For a selected Comparison in the Summary, right-click the Comparison or click the ellipses at the far right to see a menu with the following options, as long as you have permissions to perform those actions (actions that are not permitted will be grayed out):

  • Update – Updates the content of the selected Comparison.
  • Edit... – Enables you to edit information such as the name or description for a selected Comparison.
  • Delete – Enables you to delete a selected Comparison. You are asked to verify the deletion.
